SAI CERTIFICATION DISCOUNT VOUCHERS
One of the great program offerings of Sun Academic Initiative (SAI) is that
all SAI participants are eligible to receive a discount on selected Sun
Certification Exams. Exams that normally cost $300 for professionals are
discounted to less than $100 depending on geographical location, through the
Sun Academic Initiative. Certification in Sun technologies gives students
increased opportunities for job placement and career advancement.
Exam Code at SAI Prices is:

• $60 USD in North America, Europe, Japan
  
• $40 in Latin America, Asia (except Japan ) Africa and
  select countries in South Eastern Europe
  Industry-recognized credentials that are under the SAI Program are available
  in the these key areas:
  * Sun Certified Java Associate (SCJA)
  * Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP)
  * Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA)
  * Sun Certified Network Administrator (SCNA)
  * Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD)
  * Sun Certified Solaris Associate (SCSAS)
  

NOTE: SAI Sun Certification Exams are denoted with a 212 prefix to signify that it is
designated for SAI. There is no difference between the 212 and 310
exam series.
WHAT IS CHANGING AS A RESULT OF THE NEW SITE?
With this new site, the SAI participant is buying an exam code at the SAI
price, as opposed to downloading a discount coupon from
Prometric. The purchase of the exam code completes the financial
transaction. The SAI participant simply redeems the exam code for a test
session.
Additionally, the new site accounts for verification of eligibility. The
SAI participant will first provide proof that they are an eligible SAI
participant before they can receive the discounted SAI price
for a Sun Certification Exam.
To purchase an exam code at SAI price, a student may either use a credit card
or a PayPal account. A PayPal account may be set up at no charge by a
student at www.paypal.com and linked to any bank account or credit
card. While the new system does not offer cash payments, Prometric has
indicated that only a small percentage of their testing centers accept cash
payments for exams.
To summarize the changes:

• SAI Participants are buying an exam code at SAI
  price for use on the SAI Eligible Sun Certification Exams (212 series)
  
• SAI Participants must verify their eligibility to buy
  an exam code at SAI price
  
• Purchase of the exam code at SAI price can be made via
